Description
Clindamycin is effective against anaerobic organisms and protozoal infections
In dogs, it has good action against babesiosis, infected wounds, abscess, dental infections, osteomyelitis, recurrent superficial pyoderma and respiratory tract infections.
In cats Clindamycin can be used in toxoplasmosis & respiratory infections.
Recommended dose in Dogs:
Tablets:
Dental Infections: 11mg/kg
every day for 7 to 10 days
Osteomyelitis: 11mg/kg
every 12 hours for 28 days
Oral Solution:
Initial dose 4 drops/kg bw
Maintenance dose 2 drops/kg bw
Recommended dose in Cats:
Tablets:
5mg/kg twice daily or 10mg/kg once daily
Toxoplasmosis: 25mg/kg
every day for 7-10 days
Oral Solution:
1-3ml/2.5kg twice a day
Dosage: As directed by your veterinarian
