Our Soft Grip De-matter is designed with contoured stainless-steel teeth that gently remove stubborn mats and tangles.

The sharp, wide spacing of the teeth makes it easier to cut through the toughest and most dense coats on any long-haired breed of pets. This comb is constructed with sharp blades on the inside which are rounded on the outside, making it effective and safe when grooming.

Ideal for all matted coats apart from smooth coats.

Start by placing the comb under the tangle with dull side against dog’s skin. Slowly and gently move the comb through the tangle. Work the tool carefully and gently in small sections to avoid discomfort or stress. Once mats and tangles are removed, brush the coat with any Wahl Pin Brush to collect loose hair.

The stainless-steel teeth on the de-matter can last for years if maintained well. Always clean your comb after each use. Remove the bulk of the hair and soak for approximately 10 minutes in hot water with soap or a pet-safe disinfectant. Dry the comb and store away until next use.
